The bulletin board on the wall was filled with notices. There were dorm rooms for rent, meeting notices, and a very old classified ad littered the large board. Yet one notice stood out above the rest. It was written on Yorktown Academy of Preforming Arts letterhead. It contained the names of four, young striving preformers who had made it to the international competition, and would be taking a trip to Germany to compete. Four unique and talented preformers....

"Oh. My. God. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!" yelped a shrill male voice. The boy, eighteen, jumped around, filled with unexplainable joy. He wore tight lavender pants, and a tight pink collared shirt. His hair, bleached blonde, flopped into his blue eyes. "Oh my god, Zoe! We're on the list! Girl, we made the list!" He cried. He turned around to see a blonde haired girl, his sister,in the strangest clothing. She wore a tight blue t-shirt and tight black pants. She had a black gangster hat on, and bright blue converse. Zoe nodded, looking uninterested. "We're going to Germany! Beer, guys, preforming arts, guys, and food! What is there not to like?!" the blonde boy cried. "Quit being a drama queen, Tucker. It's not like it's the best thing in the world." "What?!" "Yeah. So what? We're going to Germany, big whoop." Zoe said flatly, and walked away. Tucker was shocked, yet no less excited, walked off to tell his boyfriend about Germany.

A tall girl, hoisting a big purple duffle bag, embellished with 'Nellie Elizabeth', and a ballerina icon underneath, approached the wall and scanned the list with a finger. "Oh my god! Oh my god!" she said to herself, smiling from ear to ear. Walking away, Nellie pulled out her cell phone and texted her cousin. Another student, a plump brunette, pushed her way to the bulliten board. She had a black, starred hoodie on, washed out, tight jeans, and purple Vans shoes. A blue gutair case, covered in stamps and scribbles, hung from her back. The girl screamed as she found her name on the list. She'd be going to Germany in a week, meeting boys, and preforming (her favorite thing). "Corrina! Did you make it?!" Corrina's best friend asked, coming over to her. Corrina nodded and walked away with her, gossiping.

Seven days later, Tucker and Zoe stood in the main entrance, two suitcases each. Zoe also held a pair of drumsticks. Tucker watched her, annoyed, as she twirled them around. "Will you stop?! You are soo annoying!" the boy whined. Today, he wore tight jeans and a Hollister shirt. His sister had, again, a black pair of jeans and a tight yellow shirt on. Her hat was a yellow baret. "Hm. I could say the same." Zoe muttered. "So, are you excited about competing? Everyone at Yorktown knows you're the best and most talented drummer we've got." Tucker asked. He brushed invisible dirt off his shirt and took a sip of his Starbucks' coffee. "Sure." "Oh, and the guys will totally be fine! Hot, rough accents! Oh, I can't wait!" Tucker sighed. Zoe smiled slightly. "You're so gay. When do you think these other broads are going to get here?" she asked. Nellie walked out of her dorm house with her bag in hand, texting, as usual. Her purple striped t-shirt sort of loosely over her top, and her navy blue jeans had small rhinestones on the pockets. She dragged a large, blue suitcase behind her, and her dance bag was hung on her sholder. Nellie looked up to see Tucker and Zoe, and nodded to them, polietly, as she put her large bag into the bus' compartment. They'd be transported to the airport by a small, hippy-style bus, and then take a plane for the rest of the journey. Corrina walked up to the group, but stayed on the outskirts, checking everyone up and down. Her gutiar case, bright pink, bounced on her back. She had on a blue sweatshirt with the school's name branded largely on the front, and gutiar club stictched on the back. Her skinny jeans tucked over her sneakers, and her brown hair hung down with a little natural curl on the bottom, which Corrina hated. "What a lousy lot." She muttered to herself, "Less competition for those German boys." "Well, now that we're all here. Should we get going?" Tucker asked, throwing his arms around a reluctant Nellie and Corrina. He smiled, "After all, hot German boys await!" he laughed. Grabbing his suitcases, he walked out of the doors. Corrina scoffed and followed, along with Nellie. Zoe stood staring at the floor, twirling her sticks. "Zoe! Come on!!" cried Tucker. The girl looked up, and ran out of the building's doors. She threw her bags into the car and then got in. The ride was quiet. Tucker drove, and Nellie sat in shotgun. Corrina and Zoe sat quietly in the back, Corrina glaring out the window, and Zoe twirling her sticks. They didn't stop until they got to the airport. "Finally." Corrina hissed. She pulled out her bags and threw them on the ground. Zoe slowly pulled out her bags as Tucker unloaded his and Nellie's. "Germany, here we come!" Cried Tucker, smiling. Nellie hoisted her bag onto her sholder, and the rest of the group did the same.

Zoe walked absentmindedly into the airport, the rest of them following. It was bustling with people, and Zoe nearly panicked. Around Tucker alone, she was fine. But around anyone else, she shut herself up. She was quite afraid of others. Tucker grabbed her arm, and they walked into the line to get their bags checked. "Zoe, just close your eyes. You're alright." he whispered. Zoe nodded, clutching for dear life on her drumsticks. "Just imagine Germany Zoe. You're German, arn't you? Even if you arn't, its a beautiul place to be." Tucker went on. "Please, Tuck, be quiet." Zoe whispered strained.

Nellie followed Tucker and Zoe, with Corrina on her heels, both lugging their bags with them. Nellie nervously looked around, flying and her never really got along.

Tucker looked back at Nellie and Corrina. He smiled at them. Sure, he may have been gayer than a three dollar bill, but he knew good girls when he saw them. Both were equally talented, and he looked forward to getting to know them. "Are you guys ready or what?!" He whispered to them. He gave a little yelp as soon as the words left his mouth. Zoe stepped in his foot, whimpering nervously. "Zoe?" Tucker asked, and Nellie watched as the girl turned to stone from nerves. They were next in line, but Zoe was frozen with fear.

Nellie walked behind the pair of siblings, Corrina on her heels. Nellie looked around, she was never the best flyer, and she hoped her worries wouldn't come out while on this plane.

"Zoe, just give them your bags. You'll be fine." Tucker said, and dragged the girl to a bench nearby.

Nellie handed over her bags, along with Corrina. Corrina went to the snack machine to buy some food. Nellie sat on a nearby bench and pulled out a book to clear her mind.

Zoe, out of nerves, started tapping out a beat on a bench, and Tucker smiled. If there was one thing that helped Zoe calm herself down, it was the beat of a different drum. People stared at the two, and one guy even handed Tucker a five dollar bill. "She's good, kid. She your girl?" he asked. He was an older man. "Ew! No, she's my sister!" Tucker gasped flamboyently. Zoe kept tapping the beat, but it got quicker, almost hitting a roll.

Nellie hadn't looked up from her book. That was it, she was engrossed.
Corrina was leaning on a big plant's pot, eating, and watching the others.

Zoe began hitting metal on the bench, and tapping out a beat that was slighty familar. Tucker smiled. She knew exactly where this was headed. She was playing My Chemical Romance's Welcome to the Black Parade. She had learned it for the school earlier last year, and she loved it. Tucker began to sing with her softly.

Nellie looked over and smiled, that was one of her favorite songs too. Corrina just ignored them. The longer she avoided them, the easier the trip would be for all of them.

"When I was, a young boy, my father, took me into the city, to see a marching band..." Tucker sang loudly. Zoe, forgetting her nerves, began to do tricks. She flipped them, and twisted them in ways no normal person could ever begin to do. "Will you, defeat them, your demons, and all the nonbelievers, the plans that they have made." Tucker belted. More and more people began to gather, and some even set money down on a magazine Tucker had been reading.

Nellie listened along, humming the gutiar part, since it was obvious that Corrina wouldn't be joining them.

Right at that moment, a wailing guitar burst through, and played the notes beautifully. Zoe acctually stopped playing for a moment to look to see who it was. A boy around their age, with dark hair, dark eyes, and light skin smiled quickly at her, and shredded the guitar. Tucker bit his lip, and then belted out the lyrics even more. Zoe continued tapping, and finally, the song finished, the last taps of the bench, and guitar's wailing fading.

Nellie clapped as the crowd did, and she looked around. The entire airport stopped in its tracks, and had been watching Tucker and Zoe preform.

"You sir, are a true beast at guitar." Tucker said, shaking the dark haired boy's hand. He smiled, and nodded back. "Yes, vell, it vwas a vonderful pleasure in playing wif such a talented voman. Is she your significant other?" the boy asked. His accent was clearly German, and Tucker nearly melted. "No, she's my sister. Beastly at drumming. Um, not to like, pry or anything, but your going to Germany right? I can tell by your accent, and well, we're headed there ourselves." Tucker said, scuffing hit feet on the floor, and not looking at the boy. "Yes, I am headed home to compete in a prestigious competion. You four must be ze Yorktown kids." the boy said. "Yeah, I'm Tucker." "Gerard. Pleasured to meet you." Gerard said. "Oh, I'm sure the pleasure is all Tucker's." Zoe whispered.

Nellie hears that the gutiarist is competing with them, and sighs, thanking god she didn't take up gutair. This guy would be tough to beat.

"I'm Zoe. Hey, you know, we've got a girl here who plays guitar. You'll probably be competeing against her! But hey, I think it's all about having fun." Zoe said. "Flight 13 is now boarding. All passengers please go to Dock 13." the voice over the intercom said. "Well. we better be going. Let's go Tucker." Zoe said, and dragged him along, leaving Corrina and Nellie, and their new friend Gerard in the dust. Her nerves were slowly coming back.

Nellie nodded at Gerard, a nice to meet you. She was too nervous to talk to anyone. As Corrina walked by, she put on her "overcofinident face" and strutted, eager to physce Gerard out. The girls boarded the plane, and Nellie sat in the isle seat. She'd be sick if she had to look out the window.

Gerard took his seat next to, ironically, Corrina. He nodded at her like most teenaged boys do, and want back to his ipod that was blasting rock music. Zoe looked back at them, and nearly smiled an evil grin. Gerard seemed to look at Corrina every few moments, and then looking away quickly. It was almost like her was attracted to her.

"So, how long haff you played guitar?" Gerard asked Corrina, casually, but a jealous Tucker could hear his voice tighten out of nerves. "Stupid boys..." Tucker grumbled, as he shoved his earphones onto his head, and listened to some well deserved Imogen Heap, her angelic voice serenading him and lulling him into a light sleep.

Corrina was listening to her music, going over the gutair in her piece. She was tuned out to the world, not aware of even the jolt of plane taking off.

Hours later, after many transfers and waiting, the plane touched down in an airport in Germany. Zoe was still awake, and had to wake everyone else up. "Tucker, Tuck, wake up" Zoe whispered.
